5 May 2010 is a special day.

It is our first meeting with Phillip Securities Toastmasters Club. Held at our home ground in Jalan Besar Community Club, we made many new friends - Friends from Philips TMC, friends from Vietnam TMC, friends from CPA Advanced TMC and many guests who are not toastmasters yet.

We were also honoured to receive Ms Quek Geok Cheng, our Div D Governor at the meeting. Ms Quek did a wonderful General Evaluation at the meeting. We learnt how we could organise our meetings so that each meeting will be a better one than the last.

The audience were also entertained by 3 speakers delivering their project speeches :

• Advanced Project 4 on Storytelling by Tran Hai Linh, Vietnam TMC
• Project 7 on Research Your Topic by Asa Soo, Phillip Securities TMC
• Advanced Project 3 on Storytelling by Jeffery Seah, Money Mastery TMC who won the best project speaker for the evening

Another of our Club member, Adelin conducted an educational 30-min workshop on “You are What You Eat”. The audience had fun learning many tips on healthy eating and some actually started to change their eating habits immediately during the tea-break !

The meeting ended with a high note when our Division Governor, Ms Quek encouraged and praised the Club for the numerous achievements it had accomplished over the years. It was a heartwarming speech which members present would remember for a long time.
