Speak without Fear, Lead with Confidence

Inhaling the Freshness on Installation Night - Friday, 2 July 2010

It was unmistakably a night of significance at MMTMC when members arrived dressed to the nines, rather than in their favourite football team jersey when the hype that night was supposedly on FIFA World Cup Quarter Finals - Netherlands Vs Brazil.

The aroma of mouthwatering home-made mee-siam had members’ stomachs rumbling. We broke the routine and all were pleased to relish the generous buffet spread of peranakan cuisine before the meeting.

Chin Khong Ling delivered her last Opening Address as the President expressing her heartfelt gratitude to her Executive Committee (EXCO) 2009/2010 before the team was officially discharged by Division Governor, *DTM Angeline Koh. The new EXCO was promptly sworn in and the momentous ceremonies witnessed by members.

Another highlight of the evening was the Inaugural Address by Incoming President, Jeffery Seah. He had the audience totally captivated with his thought-provoking speech on our Vision and Goals for 2010/2011. Members deliberated on his questions if we should be or deserve to be in the league of the President Distinguished Clubs. During the speech, Jeffery also challenged the members to set our hearts and souls to achieve our goals more inspiring and ambitious than being a President Distinguished Club.

In his words, he said, “Losers say something must be done. Winners say we must do something……” (MMTMC Members - you may view the full video of Jeffery’s Speech and share your personal comments on our private MMTMC Facebook Group)

The meeting continued after the break with another round of appreciation and recognition. Certificates of Appreciation were awarded to four members (the names are listed in no order of merit):-

1) Raymond Ho

2) Richard Ong

For their generous donations which have made huge difference to what the club is and can be

3) Jei Sim

For his representation in Division D International Speech Contest 2010

Well done, Jei & Lily ! Both Jei and Lily have undoubtedly inspired immense pride and brought glory to the club.

The meeting ended with members experiencing an overflowing renewed zest, camaraderie and smiles. It was certainly an evening of gustoes to be remembered for a long time !

Thank you Adelin and Saurabh, for the wonderful post and pictures. They certainly captures and enables us to relive the moments and laughters of that night.

The saying goes that ” the less we deserve good fortune, the more we had to hope for it ”
And since we all witness a sea of hands when asked if we deserved to be in the league of President’s Distinguished Clubs, I have complete faith and unwavering confidence that we at Money Mastery TMC, need not hope for it.

    Hi Jeff,

I’m sure you’d have noticed my hands weren’t up when you asked those questions. Both my hands were occupied with the video camera and the camera to capture the important moments.

I’m sure everyone present knows what my answer is. No doubt I have as much confidence and faith in the Club as you, and more excitement too !
